Millions to owe Obamacare tax penalty; There is a solution

CNN reported today that millions of Americans who did not elect a healthcare plan will owe a hefty tax penalty from 2014--as many as 6 million Americans.  For details on the penalties, see this CNN Article.

Many folks are nervous about selecting new plans.  Others are intimidated about the new process.  And most agree that the changeover appears to be downright confusing.  Thankfully there is an answer.

There is a program known as 5LINX EnhancedCare MD Smart Choices which addresses what most Americans fear: (1) Understanding the process and, (2) Saving the most amount of money possible. For only $49.95/month, anyone may use this service to access a user friendly online portal along with a live, knowledgeable agent to help walk through the process of selecting healthcare coverage.  They will also have more options which will allow them to choose a custom fit health plan without breaking the bank. 5LINX EnhancedCare MD SmartChoices (also known as ecMD) reports that customers save on average, $300.00/month.

Along with that, users of this service also enjoy 24/7 access to Doctors and Nurses over the phone and may even receive medical prescriptions given over the phone to be picked up at a local Sam's Club or Walmart.

ecMD is not new.  Prior to expanding into an Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) Approved program, this service was recognized as an innovative way to provide triage and telemedicine to clients anywhere in the U.S.  Now it is a full-fledged program that will allow anyone to save money, understand their healthcare insurance options, and avoid expensive penalties.  If you'd like to try out ecMD SmartChoices, visit this link: and use Agent ID, "L450509".

Please see the videos below which explain many of the benefits of this program.

What is residual income?  (hint: you cannot make it on your job)

The problem with "linear income"

Picture
What initially caught my attention about the profession of network marketing is how it compares to working a job.  At most places of employment we are paid per transaction (e.g. Clock in, money starts....Clock out, money stops).  This is known as linear income.  And while this can provide a comfortable lifestyle, because of the way money is earned, it cannot provide financial freedom.  You might bring up high paid professionals, such as doctors and corporate attorneys in top tier law firms earning in the high six-figures every year.  This is not to say that we don't need these professionals--in fact there is nothing wrong with working a job if that's what one wants to do.  The real problem is that 52% of Americans do not like their jobs and even more believe that they are overworked and underpaid.  But even as a high paid professional, what happens if you suddenly stop working?  Say you're a brain surgeon who develops arthritis...or you're an attorney who is on maternity leave?  Or God-forbid, what if you are injured or pass on?  What would happen to your family?  While it isn't pleasant to talk about, it is important to realize that linear income is not the way to earn financial freedom nor can it be willed to a loved one if something happened to you.  And in order to continue to make money, you must continue to run on the proverbial "rat wheel", hence the title of my website, GetOffTheRATWheel.com.

One time effort, lasting results

Picture
Residual income (also called passive, or recurring income) is income that continues to be generated well after the initial effort has been expended.  In my Network Marketing company, I assisted a property management company in cutting their utility expenses by over 30% back in 2012 and that effort continues to pay me into 2015.  If you've ever read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Business Mogul, Robert Kiyosaki, he refers to a business like this as an income-generating asset.  What if there was a way you can do something ONE TIME and reap benefits over and over again as a result?  This is no different than earning book royalties or receiving payouts based on radio spins, like Beyonce, U2 or Taylor Swift.  And who remembers "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" which has been off the air for nearly two decades?  Think about the amount of re-runs that have aired and the fact that Will Smith receives royalty checks based on what he did 20 years ago. And what if you could do it too?

Lastly, I always feel the need to point out that what we do is hard-freaking work.  As I mentioned in a previous blog, shifting ones mindset is probably one of the hardest things to do.  And it is the reason why many fail.  The ones who succeed are those who have a strong purpose, a powerful motivation, and those who are coachable and take action.  The truth is this is the only business on earth I know of, that one can begin with a very low investment (<$500), have unyielding support, a proven system similar to a franchise (without all the overhead), and can begin part-time.

Check out my conversation below with a multimillionaire top earner in my company, not long after I began to rise the ranks.  After humbling me by her praise, she also gives her take on what we do.

Glass Prison

FACT: The average man in America dies just 2 years after retirement.  The average African American man never even sees that day.

Statistics also show that most people are not satisfied in their jobs.  See the Forbes Article here.  Knowing this, tell me why it makes more sense to live the only life your going to have working in a glass prison: you can see outside, but you are trapped.  In the "free world", 90% of Americans work for the other 10%, whereas these numbers were reversed only about 100 years ago.  We have gone from an independent people to a dependent people; so much so, that attempting to break free of the system causes many to doubt you and pull you back in.  It reminds me of the crabs in a barrel analogy which also speaks to human nature: jealousy, envy, fear and downright cruelty is the reason why its not necessary to place a lid over crabs in a barrel.  As soon as a crab begins to make its way to the top, it is dragged back into the barrel.  And any crab that repeatedly attempts to escape or comes close to escaping is often maimed or killed by the others.

While its debatable that crabs can experience the plethora of human emotions such as envy, the fact remains that much of what we do is often dictated by the fear of what others might say and think.  And thus, this is why so many unsatisfied Americans will work at a place they do not like until retirement.  A place where you are not free to go where you please and you're at the mercy of a layoff, an acquisition, a downsizing, or an "ism" (racism, sexism, favoritism, etc).

I personally made a choice to not be in that number.  Actually the choice was made for me when I was handed a pink slip.  Nonetheless, I along with millions of entrepreneurs have decided to say, "enough is enough."  And thankfully, I was introduced to a business with a simple system that will create financial freedom.  However, it is my responsibility to tell you that this business is not easy.   And the hardest part is getting started.  What makes it difficult is mindset--which is precisely why many who start the race will never finish.  Philosopher and Best Selling Author, Bob Proctor says, "The most dangerous prison is the one you don't know you're in."  When I launched my business in 2011, I was nervous.  I had no experience and did not know what I was doing at first.  So what was the difference?  I kept my family, my future, and knowing that one day I would die of this life transform my fear into courage.  I kept my motivation (aka my "WHY") in front of me--a vision board of people and the life I wish to live.  And that's why I'm still passionate over three years later.  So yes, changing your mindset is very hard.  But I'd rather spend the next couple of years going against the grain for freedom, and traversing up the same mountaintop that every other unpopular (and now financially free) millionaire went to.  Yes, doing that always beats living in a glass prison.

If not this, then what?

Why is Network Marketing on the verge of changing the globe?  Because the old model of having a good career for 40 years (let alone being at a single job for 4 years) is very rare in 2015.  There are so many reasons why people are in desperate need of a better way.  Here are just a few:
(1) Structural Unemployment, where technological advances are eliminating jobs; (2) outsourcing: where persons in other countries will perform the same jobs that used to be on U.S. soil for a fraction of the pay; (3) the widening gap between the rich and poor, which has seen steady increases over the years; (4) rising debt and so much more.

Although the audio below was intended as a special internal training for our 5LINX #TeamEPIC, I felt it would be of value to the general population to gain a clearer understand as to what we do.  Taking this information seriously could dramatically change your life for the better.

HP Lays off 50,000 employees in company split, as people ask, "what is going on?"

11/29/2014

BusinessInsider.com recently reported that Hewlett-Packard, otherwise known as HP, has planned to lay off an additional 9,000 persons, bringing the grand total number of laid off employees to 50,000 in 2014, alone.  See full article here.

HP is now the latest company to lay off a large percentage of its workforce and joins IBM, Motorola and many others who are "trimming" overhead as we travel further into the millennium.  This leaves many middle class Americans asking, "What is going on?"  Check out my breakdown in the video below:
What are your thoughts?  Sound off.  Also if you'd like to see the documentary I was referring to, contact me by clicking here.

IS Network Marketing for high paid professionals like doctors or lawyers?

11/15/2014

MYTH: Network Marketing is for folks who DON'T make a lot of money.  High paid professionals don't need this profession.
TRUTH: It can be argued that high paid professionals need network marketing the most.

Watch these videos where the myth is exposed

Most high paid professionals work in excess of 60-80 hours a week.  These include Doctors, Lawyers and Engineers.  (I know because I was a Software Engineer).  Now as a Network Marketing Professional, a lot of white collar professionals feel the need to remind me by saying, "Network Marketing?  I'm good.  I'm making great money."  Their reply is simply a reflection of their lack of understanding of the network marketing profession.

Part of it is the fault of network marketing.  Admittedly, most network marketers are amateurs.  Attrition is high and due to the low investment, ANYONE can get started.  Therefore, it appears more as a hustle than a profession.  However the truth is that there are thousands of Network Marketers who make in excess of 6 and 7 figures.  In fact, world renown speakers and Network Marketers such as Les Brown and Darren Hardy (Editor of Success Magazine) acknowledge that the profession of Network Marketing has produced more millionaires than any other industry.

But the question is, "What separates being a six figure earner in network marketing verses a six figure earning lawyer or engineer?"  The money on both sides is green, right?  Yes.  However the difference is: TIME.
Picture

When I grew up, like so many of you, my parents told me to go to college and get a good job with benefits.  And like most Americans, I did that.  This is middle class thinking and can certainly produce comfort.  However comfort never equates to wealth.  Most American's earn what is known as Linear aka "Transactional" income.  This means exchanging hours for dollars or time for money.  This is also known as W2, wage-earning income.  When looking at the top 1% of wealthy Americans, they do not earn the majority of their income this way.  They earn a mix of leveraged income and passive income.  Passive income is the art of doing something one time and getting paid repeatedly for that one time effort (e.g. royalties, collecting rent, etc).  Leveraged income is the art of having other people who's talents and labor contribute to your own income.

So what is Network Marketing? (click for an explanation by Business Mogul, Robert Kiyosaki)  It is a profession that allows anyone the opportunity to receive the billions in capital that would normally go to advertisers, simply by sharing products and services through word of mouth along with building a distribution force.  It allows the average individual to create passive and leveraged income without the tremendous upfront investment.  As opposed to say, putting up $750,000 to launch a McDonalds Franchise, you can invest under $500 and launch a business that can yield the same financial potential with virtually no risk.  And because of the low investment, anyone who's serious can get a return on their investment within 30-60 days.  In traditional business a return on investment is a luxury if it happens within 3 years!

The major contrast between Network Marketing and a high paid profession is time.  In the beginning of both disciplines, it INDEED takes time and hard work.  A lawyer must go through undergraduate and post-graduate education and must study and train for hours to become a professional.  A serious network marketer also needs to put forth time, discipline and learn the profession to become a true professional.  But that's where the two paths separate.  In order to keep earning income as a lawyer (or ANY traditional profession), one must continue to bill hours, punch clocks and report for work.  Moreover, most professionals cannot earn income from the efforts of others.  Network Marketers on the other hand can acquire one customer, and get paid every single time that customer pays a future bill.  Moreover, Network Marketers can increase their ability to earn these residual payouts as they introduce others to their teams, as they also earn a small percentage on all customers that fall into their base.  Simply stated, work hard just one time and get paid continuously.  This is why there is a popular mantra in network marketing to "work hard for 3 to 5 years."   As a lawyer or engineer, you must continue to work until retirement.  In other words, "work hard for 40 years."  A Network Marketer can travel the world, work from wherever he or she wants and spend time with his or her family as much as they want, while five, six and even seven figures can hit their bank accounts every 30 days.  A high paid traditional professional is bound by what "the boss" says.  Not to mention tax breaks--a Network Marketer earns 1099 income and can write off business expenses prior to paying a penny in taxes while a high paid traditional professional only gets their cut once Uncle Sam gets his.

A personal testimony--prior to launching my Network Marketing business, I did not understand the power of the industry.  However, after learning from the top money earners, it made a lot of sense.  Since launching, I have helped many people save on their products and services and we now have a team spanning close to 30 states and soon to be 3 countries.  And I'm still getting paid on the work I did back in 2011 when I launched the business.  My mission now, is to simply educate those who do not understand the profession and invite those who are open to learn more.  Our profession is by no means perfect.  It's just better.  And because of this industry, we and those who are committed will never have to punch a clock again, wake up to an alarm clock or brave a 2 hour morning commute.  To learn more about what we do, be sure to go to GetOffTheRATWheel.com.

From time to time, people ask what made me choose 5LINX, instead of the thousands of other network marketing/work from home businesses.  There are a lot of great companies out there, but this business really stood out from the pack.  So you want to know what lead to my decision?
